I’ve never done yoga, what class should I start with?

Most of our classes are open to any fitness level. Most of our new students start with Yoga 101 or Yoga + Chill. It really depends on what your wellness goals are. So give us a call and we’ll help you start with a class that’s right for you!

What if I’m not flexible?

That’s probably the best reason to do yoga! You do not have to be flexible. (And, with a regular yoga practice,  you’ll be surprised how quickly your flexibility and mobility will improve!

What are the benefits of yoga?

Where do we start? This list could go on and on but here are some of our favorite benefits:

  • Body and breath awareness
  • Improved flexibility and mobility
  • Spinal health
  • Strength building
  • Promotes healthy joints and bones
  • Promotes movement in the lymphatic system
  • Relaxing and energizing
  • Promotes self confidence and self love
  • Oh yeah, and it’s super fun!

Class Descriptions

What is Power Yoga?

Our Power Yoga classes are inspired by a sequence called Journey Into Power and it’s just what the name implies; vigorous and powerful. It’s been designed to move our bodies in all the ways they can move working every major muscle group.  We use a combination of poses and sequences  that are linked together by dynamic movement with breath. It’s super energizing  and it’s for any body, no matter what level of fitness.

What if I don’t like “Hot Yoga”?

Good news! Half of the classes on the schedule are not heated and our heated classes are not the hottest around. Believe it or not “Hot Yoga” is heated to 105℉. Our heated Power classes are heated to 90℉. (Most people don’t think they’ll like it and end up loving it!) The warm room helps your mind and body get into a space where you can welcome the challenge, sweat and the connection to your body and breath. Be sure to bring a water bottle so you can stay hydrated throughout and after class.

How do I know If I’m doing it right?

If you’re moving and breathing, you’re doing it right! Every pose is different for every body. Our experienced team of instructors will support you during each class in finding the best variations of the poses for you! And remember, it’s a yoga practice, not a yoga perfect!

What do I need to bring to class?

A water bottle and a mat if you have one. (We have loaner mats if you need to borrow one!) You’re welcome to use our shared props and towels at the studio.

What should I wear?

Anything you want to move and sweat in! (Seriously, don’t overthink it!) You do not have to go out and buy “yoga clothes” to practice at our studio!
